MIAMI – (October 5, 2016) - Miami Children’s Young Ambassadors (MCYA), the young professionals group at Miami Children’s Health Foundation hosted a youthful and vibrant crowd at The Moore Building to celebrate the 5th annual Fashion Gives Back on Sept. 29. The fashion-forward crowd of nearly 400 sipped on crafted cocktails while watching the season’s latest fashion from Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour. This yearly fashion show brings together the foundation’s young ambassadors and professionals who serve as advocates for children’s causes and awareness for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

This year’s honorary chairs were Farrell and Patel, Attorneys at Law, and the co-chairs were Ricky Patel and Zak Mann.  During a special portion of the event, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital patient Astry walked the runway as a special guest and shared her story with guests. Astry was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when she was 3 months old, and it wasn’t until she was 4 that she was able to take her first steps. She was supposed to be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life, but after undergoing 10 years of therapy at Nicklaus Children’s, Astry is now able to walk with the assistance of a walker.

This year’s Fashion Gives Back sponsors included Coral Gables Kitchen & Bath, First Service Residential, FPL, Hotwire Communications, JP Morgan, ParkOne of Florida, REM Hospitality, East Hotel, RPJ, Inc., Stellar Adjusting, Super Restorations, Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour, A&M Productions, MG Catering, Waste Management, Miami Design District, Miami Modern Luxury Magazine and Worldmedia Interactive, among other.
