The entertainment on-air talent to help support the fundraising and awareness initiatives for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and the foundation

MIAMI, March 29, 2016 – Miami Children’s Health Foundation is excited to announce that journalist and TV Host, Erick Cuesta will be recognized as a Community Ambassador for the foundation, which is the fundraising arm of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Cuesta will have an active role in regional outreach, supporting the foundation’s fundraising efforts and elevating its presence as the charity of choice in our community.

“During my visit to Nicklaus Children’s, I was touched by so many incredible children,” said Erick Cuesta. “I am honored to be a Community Ambassador for Miami Children’s Health Foundation and be an active voice to raise awareness of the foundation’s mission and the hospital’s world-class care for children of all ages.”

Cuesta is a panelist on "Sin rollo ni tapujos," a weekly segment on Univision’s national morning show, Despierta America, the number one morning show for Hispanic television in the U.S. He is also the Entertainment reporter at CNN en Español for the entertainment news show SHOWBIZ and acts as entertainment editor for Venue Magazine. Cuesta was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and began his career as a fashion and beauty expert.

The TV personality recently visited Nicklaus Children’s, bringing smiles to the patients and families at the hospital. “We are thrilled to have the support and commitment of the talented Erick Cuesta,” said Lucy Morillo, president and CEO of Miami Children’s Health Foundation. “He will be lending his time and talent to help raise funds and awareness for our foundation, and further our mission to bring hope and happiness to children in South Florida and around the world.”
