MIAMI (November 19, 2017)– Miami Children’s Health Foundation (MCH Foundation) hosted its 4th annual “Bake a Difference” event Saturday, November 18th. A community fundraising event spearheaded by the efforts of the Hirschhorn Family, this year’s “Bake a Difference” raised more than $30,000 at 41 bake stands set up throughout Miami-Dade and Broward. The money raised will go to benefit Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, specifically its Brain Institute and Comprehensive Epilepsy Program.

The “Bake a Difference” event strives to encourage children to get involved and make a difference in the lives of other children in their community. Thanks to the dedication and effort of local families, supporters of these events have now raised more than $100,000 over the past four years.

“We are proud to have a role in bringing the community together to help support the Nicklaus Children’s Brain Institute’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, an international leader in the diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of pediatric epilepsy,” said Amy Hirschhorn, one of the founders of the initiative. “Bake a Difference is an example of how our children can be shown at an early age that giving and donating your time can be fun and incredibly rewarding.”
