MARIE OSMOND JOINS JACK AND BARBARA NICKLAUS FOR A MEET-AND-GREET WITH PATIENTS AT NICKLAUS CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Miami Children's Health Foundation Celebrates 10th Anniversary Diamond Ball

Miami Children's Health Foundation (MCH Foundation)  celebrated its 10th Anniversary Diamond Ball on Oct. 29, raising nearly $1.6 million, benefiting the children and families at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. More than 800 guests took part in the glamorous affair, which combined couture fashion and costumes inspired by the theme “Into the Woods.”

Lucy Morillo, Esq. Ends A Transformational Era At Miami Children's Health Foundation

Seasoned attorney, fundraising expert and business executive Lucy Morillo, President and CEO of the Miami Children’s Health Foundation (MCHF) has formally announced today the end of her 10 year tenure at the Foundation. Since joining MCH Foundation, Morillo has been instrumental in increasing the attention to the hospital’s world-renowned facilities and steadily increasing its annual fundraising revenue from $4 million in 2007 to $71.5 million in 2015.

Miami Children's Health Foundation Celebrates Success of "Together For The Children Campaign"

Miami Children's Health Foundation, the fundraising arm for Miami Children's Health System, celebrated the success of its Together For The Children Campaign on Thursday, October 13 with more than 300 guests in attendance at a special preview unveiling of the Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion (APCP), a new six-story tower within the campus of Nicklaus Children's Hospital. The construction of the new 212,000 square-foot state-of-the-art family centered facility, was one of the priorities of Together For The Children, which surpassed its original fundraising goal of $150 million, in record time. The structure is the first freestanding pediatric facility of its kind in South Florida, dedicated to the care of children with complex and specialized needs.

Miami Children’s Young Ambassadors (MCYA), the young professionals group at Miami Children’s Health Foundation hosted a youthful and vibrant crowd at The Moore Building to celebrate the 5th annual Fashion Gives Back on Sept. 29. The fashion-forward crowd of nearly 400 sipped on crafted cocktails while watching the season’s latest fashion from Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour. This yearly fashion show brings together the foundation’s young ambassadors and professionals who serve as advocates for children’s causes and awareness for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

CITRIX 6TH ANNUAL MIAMI CHILDREN’S HEALTH FOUNDATION 5K RUN/WALK PRESENTED BY SABADELL UNITED BANK UNITES THE SOUTH FLORIDA COMMUNITY FOR A GREAT CAUSE

An enthusiastic crowd of nearly 4,500 participants including runners, walkers, spectators and families from around South Florida came out to join theCitrix 6th Annual Miami Children’s Health Foundation 5K Run/Walk Presented by Sabadell United Bank (MCHF5K). The race began at Coral Gables City Hall and included a Vendor Village, Kids Fun Zone and Kids Fun Run. To date, the MCHF5K has raised nearly $2.5 million dollars for the children and families who depend on Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

SERIOUSLY ILL PATIENTS AT NICKLAUS CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL EXPERieNCE PROM NIGHT THANKS TO DONATION FROM THE CARLIN FAMILY FOUNDATION

On May 21st more than 100 chronically ill patients, their parents and dates celebrated the 3rd annual Carlin Family Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Prom thanks to a generous $300,000 donation from the Carlin Family to Miami Children’s Health Foundation. The Carlin family’s donation been underwriting the cost of the prom since 2014 and through 2018. Local sponsors and vendors also took on the mission of giving these young patients a night they would otherwise not be able to experience due to their medical illness.

The Miami Children’s Health Foundation’s 5th Annual 5K Run/Walk (MCHF5K) presented by Sabadell United Bank brought together more than 5,500 runners, walkers and spectators in Coral Gables for a family fun-filled event, which included a Kids Fun Zone, Vendor Village and a Kids Race. Since its inception, the 5K Run/Walk has raised over $2 million dollars for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

AT&T Gives $25,000 to Miami Children’s Health Foundation

Contribution will support young Hispanic adolescent girls through Nicklaus Children’s Healthy Chicas program

Miami Children’s Health Foundation recently announced that  AT&T awarded a grant of $25,000 to support their Nicklaus Children’s Healthy Chicas program. This interactive wellness program was developed by experts at Nicklaus Children’s for girls between the ages of 12 and 18 who are considered obese or have been identified as being at risk of obesity.

THE MCH FOUNDATION PRESIDENT’S CABINET MAde A DIFFERENCE with “BAKE A DIFFERENCE

On November 22, they held their first inaugural Bake a Difference. More than 50 bake stands from Boca Raton to Homestead gave away baked goods in exchange for a donation to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.  This community initiative raised more than $28,000 to benefit MCH and its Comprehensive Epilepsy Program.

MCH Foundation announced that it has received nearly 75 million dollars in donations to-date towards Together For The Children, The Campaign For Nicklaus Children's Hospital, which is on track to fundraise $150 million by 2017.

The most recent gift to Miami Children's Health Foundation includes a $7.5 million gift from the Rose Bell Trust. The gift comes from Rose Bell, mother of Charlene, who had a disability and passed away at a young age; and Elaine, who suffered from mental illness. The trust was created to provide for Elaine's care for the duration of her life, with any remaining funds after her passing designated to go Nicklaus Children's Hospital to benefit children with disabilities. Nicklaus Children's Hospital will create a fund named the "Rose, David, Charlene and Elaine Bell Memorial" in their honor.

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Celebrates Milestone in Construction of the Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (NCH) celebrated a significant milestone in the construction of its planned Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion, a 212,000 square-foot facility that will enhance the care environment at the main hospital campus. The event marked the first “crunch” demolition of a vacant structure to make way for the six-story pavilion. Once completed, the new space will include the latest medical technologies and additional family-friendly amenities to support patients and families receiving care.

All in Fore the Kids raises more than $250,000

Miami Children’s Health Foundation (MCH Foundation) hosted All in Fore the Kids, two-days of events attended by some of most charitable men in our community, raising over $250,000 in benefit of the children and families at Nicklaus Children’s Nospital (MCH). Hundreds of business and community leaders took part in the events held at the Biltmore Hotel & Golf Course in Coral Gables. All in Fore the Kids kicked off with the 2nd Annual Gentlemen’s Night Out Presented by Turner Construction on March 20 and culminated with the 32nd Annual Nicklaus Children’s Corporate Golf Invitational on March 21.

Gentlemen’s Night Out Begins Philanthropic Weekend

Hundreds of business and community leaders will join together for All in Fore the Kids - two fundraising events to support one cause – the children and families at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (NCH). The weekend will kick off with the 2nd Annual Gentlemen’s Night Out Presented by Turner Construction, an exclusive evening for men to come together for networking, entertainment, camaraderie and philanthropy. The sophisticated evening will feature tastings of premium scotches, spirits and selections of the finest cigars. Guests will also enjoy a silent auction and entertainment. The “All in Fore the Kids” weekend will continue the following day with the Nicklaus Children’s 32nd Annual Corporate Golf Invitational, which includes a reception and awards ceremony.

Abraham Foundation with a mural unveiling held at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Orthopedics Department on Monday, February 24, 2014. The mural was created in recognition of a $500,000 donation made in honor of Anthony R. and Genevieve Abraham and Family as part of Together for the Children, the Campaign for Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
