MIAMI (January 5, 2016) - The 5th Annual Wine, Women & Shoes (WW&S) presented by Sergio Rossi  will gather more than 700 of South Florida’s most fashionable women to support Miami Children’s Health Foundation, the fundraising arm of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. This year’s event will take place on Friday, February 5, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at the JW Marriott Marquis in Downtown Miami. The emcee will be seven-time Emmy Award winner, Maggie Rodriguez, and the event Co-chairs are Criselda Breene and Carola Pimentel.

“Miami Children’s Health Foundation is very proud to host one of the largest women’s fundraising events nationwide geared towards women who enjoy great style and supporting a noble cause. We are especially proud of this event, raising nearly $1.8 million since 2012 to support the children and families we serve at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital,” said Lucy Morillo, president & CEO, Miami Children’s Health Foundation.

During the event, Alessandra, a patient of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital will share her inspirational story and serve as guest of honor. Alessandra was diagnosed with scoliosis at the age of 10 and has undergone a series of treatments including a painful surgery to overcome her condition. She is now 16 years old, and with her spine aligned by rods and screws, she has decided to transform her experience into a positive by sharing her incredible journey. WW&S Miami is the highest revenue-making Wine, Women & Shoes event from over 175 in the country. This sophisticated gathering will include a fashion show with the latest fashion from Oscar Carvallo Paris, wine tastings, a luxurious silent auction, and much more. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to shop from an exclusive Marketplace featuring top brands and local fashion boutiques. This year, guests can purchase a “Key to the Closet” special drawing ticket for a chance to win a Chopard ‘Happy Sport’ white gold and diamond women’s watch valued at $19,770.
