Go "Beyond Tomorrow" at the 12th Annual Diamond Ball this October

A moment at the 2017 Diamond Ball

On Saturday, October 27, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation will hold its 12th annual Diamond Ball, with more than 600 of South Florida’s most philanthropic community members. This inspiring event benefits the children and families of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The theme for this year’s gala is “Beyond Tomorrow,” highlighting innovation and cutting-edge medical care available at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

This year, the Foundation will induct a very special honoree into the Ambassador David M. Walters International Pediatric Hall of Fame: Graça Machel, an African stateswoman and international humanitarian. Mrs. Machel has dedicated her life to improving the fate of women and children, inspiring hope, and building a more just and equitable world for people everywhere.

The Hall of Fame, which is named for our founder, recognizes individuals who are strong advocates for children’s causes and who work to ensure the health and wellbeing of children in South Florida and around the world. It is the highest honor bestowed by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation. Past honorees include: Walt Disney, Audrey Hepburn, John Walsh, Kelly Preston, Beyoncé, Dwayne Wade, Barbara and Jack Nicklaus, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Gloria Gaynor, Juanes, and Romero Britto.

Guests and celebrities will experience a black-tie affair, with a stylish cocktail soiree featuring entertainment, and a silent auction. They will also hear emotional stories from children who have received life-saving care at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

The Diamond Ball Honorary Chairs are Ravneet and Anand Chowdhury, with Co-Chairs Ricky and Arti Patel, and Stearns Weaver Miller. The premier signature event will pay tribute to grateful patients, world-class physicians, and generous philanthropists. Local 10 news anchor and Emmy-award winning reporter Laurie Jennings will serve at this year’s master of ceremonies.
