Miami Children’s Hospital Aligns with Palms West
Miami Children’s Hospital and Palms West Hospital, have entered into an affiliation to provide Pediatric Emergency Care in Palm Beach County. Starting October 1, 2010 physicians from Miami Children’s Hospital’s Emergency Room will be providing care to the children in our community at Palms West Hospital.

Nicklaus Care Center Opens in Palm Beach County
Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH), South Florida’s only licensed specialty hospital exclusively for children, today announced that the first Miami Children’s Hospital Nicklaus Care Center has opened in Palm Beach County. The stand-alone clinic is located in Loxahatchee at 12989 Southern Boulevard, Suite 203.

Steven Kerr Appointed to Board of Directors

Diamond Ball to Honor Barbara and Jack Nicklaus
Barbara and Jack Nicklaus will be inducted into the Ambassador David M. Walters International Pediatric Hall of Fame at the Foundation’s 2010 Diamond Ball. The gala, “Diamonds…Forever: “Honoring the Past. Celebrating the Future,” will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010, at the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

Local Children Raise Funds for Haiti Victims
A group of children organized an all-day fundraiser for Miami Children's Hospital Foundation and raised more than $300 for its disaster relief efforts. They recently to toured the hospital's LifeFlight® ambulance and helicopter.

Three Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) pediatric specialty services are among the best in the nation, according to U.S.News & World Report’s 2010 “America’s Best Children’s Hospitals” issue. MCH has more pediatric subspecialty programs ranked by the magazine than any other Florida hospital.

Haiti to Orlando Adventure
Miami Children's Hospital Foundation (MCHF), hospital staff and Dr. Chad Perlyn organized an excellent adventure to Orlando for 17 displaced Haitian children who received care at Miami Children's Hospital following the earthquake earlier this year. The two-day trip was sponsored by MCHF thanks to the generosity of friends and supporters.

Miracle Network Effort Kicks Off With Visit to MCH
Each year in the United States, children account for more than six million hospital stays and must confront the challenges of overcoming illness while being away from home and the people they love. To help provide some comfort to kids while they get fight to get well, Downy fabric softener has partnered with Quilt for Kids, Inc. and Las Comadres to sew more than 100 hand-made quilts to children through the brand’s “Touch of Comfort” program.

MCHF helping raise funds for Haitian Relief
As South Floridians see and hear the devastating news coming from Haiti, many are concerned and wish to offer help. At this point, monetary donations are most urgently needed to fund all disaster relief efforts in Haiti. In order to facilitate the donation process through a trusted local resource, Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation has instituted a Disaster Relief Fund that will provide aid to those impacted by the Haiti earthquake.
