Hundreds of business and community leaders recently joined together for All in Fore the Kids - two fundraising events to support one cause – the children and families at Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH). The events raised more than $400,000 for Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation.

MCH New Home of Victor Center
The Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) Brain Institute has become the new home of the Victor Center for the Prevention of Jewish Genetic Diseases to ensure ongoing access to comprehensive genetic education, counseling services and affordable screenings for all 19 genetic diseases that occur with greater frequency within the Jewish population. Funding support is provided by Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Wine, Women & Shoes = The Perfect Fit!
More than 450 ladies slipped into their stilettos and joined together at the Sold Out 2nd Annual Wine, Women & Shoes Presented by Elizabeth Spill for a day of shopping and fun with the common purpose of supporting world-class pediatric healthcare.
Guests from throughout South Florida gathered at Coral Gables Country Club on February 7 to not only raise their glasses, but raise nearly $450,000 to benefit the children and families at Miami Children’s Hospital, which is nearly double the amount raised at the inaugural event.

2nd Annual Miami Children's Hospital 5K
Through the support of more than 3,500 runners and walkers and corporate partners, the Hyundai Hope On Wheels 2nd Annual Miami Children’s Hospital 5K (MCH5K) Presented by TotalBank raised more than $450,000 for the children and families at Miami Children's Hospital, more than double the amount raised through the inaugural event. Wal Mart & Sam's Club Raises Nearly $285,000
It was a record-breaking year for Miami Children’s Hospital as officials announced that a total of nearly $285,000 was raised in the annual Walmart & Sam’s Club six week fundraiser through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®. Walmart and Sam’s Club store associates, customers and members together raised the campaign’s biggest total ever, mostly $1 at a time with donations taken at the register and all proceeds going to Miami Children’s Hospital.

Publix Raises Nearly $550,000 for CMN Hospitals
Publix Super Markets customers and associates once again showed their immense support for local sick and injured kids treated at Miami Children’s Hospital during the annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® in-store fundraiser. This year’s campaign raised nearly $550,000, a 19 percent increase over 2011 totals and the largest amount raised in the program’s history.

MCH Foundation Receives $300,000 Donation
Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation has received a $300,000 donation to purchase the HyGreen® Hand Hygiene System, a state of the art electronic hand washing monitoring device for several units throughout Miami Children’s Hospital. Kohl's Cares Bike and Child Safety
Miami Children's and Kohl's Department Stores Associates in Action Team recently held the 3rd Annual Bike & Child Safety Kickoff Event at Kohl's Hialeah Store.
To help kick off this year's program, Kohl's presented Miami Children's Hospital Foundation a donation for a grant of nearly $150,000. Since 2009, Kohl's has granted more than $325,000 to Miami Children's, made possible through the company's Kohl's Cares® program.

Revolutionary Cancer Treatment at MCH
A medical team at Miami Children’s Hospital performed the region’s first hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) or “heated chemotherapy” surgical treatment on a pediatric patient on September 30, offering the child and family renewed hope after other treatment options were exhausted.

Haiti to Orlando Adventure

Miracle Network Effort Kicks Off With Visit to MCH
Each year in the United States, children account for more than six million hospital stays and must confront the challenges of overcoming illness while being away from home and the people they love. To help provide some comfort to kids while they get fight to get well, Downy fabric softener has partnered with Quilt for Kids, Inc. and Las Comadres to sew more than 100 hand-made quilts to children through the brand’s “Touch of Comfort” program.

MCH Volunteer Team Discuss Haiti Earthquake Relief
A 14-member volunteer team from Miami Children’s Hospital will recount their medical relief efforts in earthquake-stricken Port-au-Prince, Haiti, during a special media availability at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 29. The event will be held in the Research Building Boardroom (3rd Flr.) at Miami Children’s Hospital, 3196 SW 62nd Avenue.

MCHF helping raise funds for Haitian Relief
As South Floridians see and hear the devastating news coming from Haiti, many are concerned and wish to offer help. At this point, monetary donations are most urgently needed to fund all disaster relief efforts in Haiti.
In order to facilitate the donation process through a trusted local resource, Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation has instituted a Disaster Relief Fund that will provide aid to those impacted by the Haiti earthquake.
