CARS, COCKTAILS & CUISINE SUPPORTS BETTY CARES
AT MIAMI CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

SUNRISE, Fla. – Amid the background of pink Cadillacs, a 1934 Texaco gasoline tanker and an old-fashioned Good Humor ice cream truck, nearly 200 community and business leaders recently took a tour down memory lane with a rare look at classic cars from nearly every decade at Cars, Cocktails, Cuisine.

Held at the exclusive Dauer Museum of Classic Cars, the event was hosted by Miami Children's Hospital Foundation Diamond Society members Kira and Jason Turchin.

Proceeds benefited Betty Cares, which was founded by the Turchins in honor of Kira’s mother to support children and caregivers at Miami Children’s Hospital.

“We are so grateful and humbled by your presence and desire to help us make a difference in the name of a truly remarkable woman, my mother, Betty Brenman,” said Kira. “Although my mother’s purpose in life continues to live on through each of us, if she was here today, I know that she would be beyond touched and honored by your outpouring of support for families like ours that have been helped by Miami Children's Hospital.”

Guests enjoyed performances by Broadway star Adam Kantor who played “Mark” in Rent and “Henry” in Next to Normal and also founded Broadway in South Africa.

Sponsors included Presenting Sponsor: The Law Offices of Jason Turchin, Platinum Sponsor: The Dauer Museum of Classic Cars and Gold Sponsors: Midtown Athletic Club and Northwestern Mutual.

Due to the success of the inaugural event, the 2nd Annual Cars, Cocktails & Cuisine will be held on Saturday, April 28 at The Dauer Museum of Classic Cars.
