MORE THAN 500,000 DONATED TOYS TO BRING SMILES TO PATIENTS AT MIAMI CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL YEAR-ROUND
MIAMI – As a result of the generosity of supporters throughout our community and beyond, Miami Children's Hospital Foundation collected more than 500,000 toys to be delivered to the patients and families of Miami Children's Hospital not just this holiday season but throughout the entire year. These toys will help commemorate major milestones in a child’s treatment at Miami Children's Hospital – from going home after a long hospital stay to completing chemotherapy.
Our community and individual donors went above and beyond in exemplifying their efforts to support our children. Their endless dedication and hard work has given new meaning to the “season of giving.” With support from the Child Life staff and Holiday Helpers from the Theta Chi fraternity at Florida International University, Miami Children's Hospital Foundation hosted one of the most successful toy drives in the hospital’s history.
