Exclusive Preview of the Yacht Lady Michelle Opens Charity Auction Bidding
FISHER ISLAND, FL - December 7th - The 161-foot Trinity yacht The Lady Michelle was boarded, by invitation only, last evening at the request of Mike and Constance Fernandez, owners of the magnificent ship. Mike and Constance have generously donated the yacht to Miami Children's Hospital Foundation for a truly unique and exclusive fund-raising opportunity of auctioning a week long stay aboard the Lady Michelle with all proceeds going to Miami Children's Hospital Foundation (MCHF) to benefit the "Diamond of the South" – Miami Children’s Hospital.
Guests were invited to preview and tour the Lady Michelle to help launch the official Auction that will extend until January 10th. Among those toasting and touring the Lady Michelle were Cesar Alvarez, Manny and Annie Kadre, Mark and Bonnie Blank, Tom and Anne Marie Rozek, Coach Jim Morris, Gene Sulzberger, David and Joan Scheiner and Lucy Morillo, led by Steve Elario of International Yacht Collection.
The evening culminated in holiday greetings from Lucy Morillo, President of MCHF, Mark Blank, MCHF Board Chairman and Tom Rozek, MCH President. However, the highlight came when Mark and Bonnie Blank announced a major pledge to MCHF that was immediately and generously matched by Mike and Constance Fernandez., with an additional gift from Manny and Annie Kadre which brought the evening’s total to gifts to $225,000.
