Kohl’s Department Stores to donate more than $62,000 to Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation at Miami Children’s Hospital’s First Annual Family Safety Event WHAT: Kohl’s will present Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation with a check for $62, 475 during Miami Children’s Hospital’s First Annual Family Safety Event. WHO: Miami Children’s Hospital’s First Annual Family Safety Event is a wonderful opportunity for families to learn about injury prevention and how to provide a safe environment for children. The free event is open to residents of Schenley Park. Kohl’s generous gift to Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation, by way of its Kohl’s Cares for Kids program, will directly help support community injury prevention activities and events, such as the First Annual Family Safety Event, organized by the Miami-Dade County SAFE KIDS Coalition and led and coordinated by Miami Children's Hospital's Trauma Services Department. These events offer bike, pedestrian and child passenger safety, as well as other preventative programs.
