Miami Children's Hospital Foundation’s Children’s Craniofacial Association (CCFA) is a unique volunteer organization to MCHF. CCFA was created by parents of children affected by craniofacial anomalies. With the creation of CCFA at Miami Children’s Hospital, parents have found not just the needed support from one another, but the organization has enabled the volunteers to increase awareness of the abnormalities and to ensure that treatment is available. Funds raised by CCFA are used to:
- Facilitate a parent support group
- Create awareness among craniofacial families, health care providers and the public at large
- Generate funds to purchase new medical equipment for MCH’s CCFA center
- Inform elected officials of ways to protect and assist children and families affected by craniofacial abnormalities
