Gifts Through Your Will or Trust

A bequest is a gift made through your Will or Trust and is an estate commitment that allows Miami Children’s Hospital Foundation (MCHF) donors to give in ways they may not have been able to do during their lifetime. This simplest type of gift allows you to make a substantial gift without affecting your cash flow during your lifetime. It is a popular method of providing long-term support for the charitable organizations that are so important in our lives. The gift may be one of real or personal property, a percentage of the value of your estate, a residual portion of your estate or a specific dollar amount. With the estate tax charitable deduction, a gift to MCHF can significantly reduce the tax burden on your estate.
