Community Council

The Community Council is a volunteer group that was created to support Miami Children's Hospital Foundation (MCHF) in its mission to raise funds and awareness of Miami Children's Hospital (MCH). The diverse members are wholeheartedly committed to ensuring that no child will ever have to leave this region to receive state-of-the-art pediatric care. Since the Committee’s inception in 1982, members have assisted the Foundation with its annual fundraising programs as well as held their own activities all for the benefit of MCH. A very welcoming team, the Community Council is very involved in not just MCHF and MCH but also in our community at large. Community Council is always interested in attracting new volunteers and welcomes your participation.

MCHF Auxiliary

This 57-year-old Miami Children’s Hospital committee has been an institution of innovation and support to MCH – "Diamond of the South". The dedication of the Auxiliary has always been active in their support of MCH through contributions and the annual crowning of the Queen of Hearts, an event that is eagerly awaited by over 350 attendees. The celebration of the crowning of the Queen is an opportunity for fundraising and networking, as the Auxiliary exists to support the Foundation and Hospital.

Children’s Craniofacial Association

Miami Children's Hospital Foundation’s Children’s Craniofacial Association (CCFA) is a unique volunteer organization to MCHF. CCFA was created by parents of children affected by craniofacial anomalies. With the creation of CCFA at Miami Children’s Hospital, parents have found not just the needed support from one another, but the organization has enabled the volunteers to increase awareness of the abnormalities and to ensure that treatment is available. To experience Camp Superstar, click here.

Funds raised by CCFA are used to:

  • Facilitate a parent support group
  • Create awareness among craniofacial families, health care providers and the public at large
  • Generate funds to purchase new medical equipment for MCH’s CCFA center
  • Inform elected officials of ways to protect and assist children and families affected by craniofacial abnormalities
